Facebook Is Looking To Deliver Internet To Everyone Around The World By Building Their Own Drones, Satellites, And Lasers In The Sky

Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg just Announce today this afternoon on March 27th, 2014, that Facebook’s connectivity lab is looking to create drones, satellites and lasers to beam Internet to everyone from the sky.

Using the new site launched by Facebook called Internet.org, Facebook has been making an effort to give affordable access to basic Internet services to every single person in the world.

Their goal is to expand the amount of users of Facebook simple by giving more individuals Internet access. This makes a lot of sense for a company whose continued expansion depends on the expansion of the net.

Mark Zuckerberg said, In the past years they’ve already made progress towards their goals doubling the number of people using mobile data with the operators they’ve partnered with, helping 3 million new people access the internet.

They have a lab full of people who’s main focus is to find ways to invent new technology that can help spread Internet connectivity. The new Facebook lab is also exploring the possibility of using solar-powered high-altitude planes to provide Internet access in suburban areas.

It has been said that the planes would be able to deliver better Internet access then satellites can. Simple because they’re closer to the ground. No matter how it’s done the company definitely has it’s work cut out for them.

Having everyone around the world with access to the net will have a great benefit and huge impact to everyone’s future. With the way we receive information, communicate, and build businesses. Our economy over the years has become more depended on Internet resources.

I personally think it’s a great idea, and will be looking forward to seeing this happen in the near future. I think that most average workers out there working a nine to five job everyday. Will one day wake up and instead getting ready to drive to work. They’ll be getting up to go to work right on their Labtops.

Instead of their children taking the bus or walking to school. They’ll be going to school right on a computer with Internet access…lolz 🙂

That’s just my personal opinion, but has human beings our future is definitely towards the Internet, so to me this is an excellent move by Facebook and Co-founder Mark Zuckerburg.
