Link Building Tips For Website Owners

Link Building

If you have a website or blog that you are looking to build back links to. I’m going to give you some great tips today for anyone that’s interested in link building strategies for their website.

The first thing I want to talk about is what link building is for all the newbies out there that don’t quite know or understand. Every link to your website from another website is like a vote that Google looks at in order to rank your pages in the search results.

Google looks for quantity and quality back links pointing to your website. This means the more quality links you have pointing to your website from others. Will boost your rankings in the search engines which will result in more free traffic to your site.

Some people tend to focus on getting as many links as they can, but depending on what type of quality links you get from other sites that have authority as well as age. Is very important to Google. Sites that have very high (PR) Page Rank can boost your site credibility way faster then just having a whole bunch of links from low (PR) Page ranked sites.

Now after understanding that, I’m going to give out some tips for people looking for some good back links to their site.

Guest Blogging

Their are a lot of people out that have good blogs with age and decent page rank that allow guest blogging. To find some great blogs that get good amount of traffic with a decent (PR) Page rank. You can simple go to Facebook. Type in a keyword to search for that’s within your niche like”Make Money Online”. Look for peoples pages, then go to their about me section and see if they have their own blog.

Lots of people on Facebook store their information with a link to their website inside the about me section. If you see that they have their own blog. Message them to see if they allow guest blogging. Also research how much traffic they get and what page rank they have in Alexa. Alexa.com is a good way to see all this info.

If you find a person with a good blog that allows guest blogging. You can then create some post for them in order to get back links to your blog. You can do this in the post or once you have a good relationship with them. You can ask them to give you a link inside their blogroll that’s pointing back to your site.

Blog commenting

Another way to get good links is again do your research first to see how much traffic the site is getting by using Alexa. Then comment on blogs with high (PR) Page Rank that allow do follow links in their comments. A do follow link just means that they allow Google to give credit to the link that’s posted on their page, pointing back to your site.

You don’t want no follow links that’s not giving you any credit back to your site. This is just a waste of time. To check this you can use Firefox browser, then download the add-on called “Nodofollow”. It will help you see witch links are valid.

Social Bookmarking Sites

Social bookmarking sites is another way to build good links to your site. Just do some Google searches to really find some social bookmarking sites that you can get links from. I personally don’t use this technique. So I can only tell you so much on this strategy.

Link Building Strategy

Article Marketing
Article Marketing is still a very good way to get great back links to your site. There are plenty of article directories that will let you summit articles that you’ve written in order to get some quality back links. Such as ezinearticles, articlebase, hubepages, or goarticles.com.

Social media
Back links form social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, or even video sites like Youtube. Can also be a great help to boosting your credibility with the search engines. Just post some links inside these sites pointing back to your blog either on your timeline or on Youtube videos you create.

Forum
Posting a link in forums with a little information of some sort pointing back to your blog will also help you. You can join forums within you niche. Then comment or post ads with links that direct back to your site.

All these strategies are great ways to use when building legit links to your blog. I encourage you to stay away from black hat strategies, and be diverse when building links to your site’s pages. You want to do more than just one method to stay on Google’s good side. Use keywords that are related to your niche inside the links you provide, but don’t overdue it.

Have a balance, because over doing it could potentially hurt your site within the search engines like Google.
