People Don’t Like To Be Sold, But They Love To Buy

Sell without pitching

One of the trickiest things to do when learning how to sell to people, is to sell without actually selling. You may have heard the old saying that people don’t like to be sold, but they love to buy. This is very true and can increase your sales when implemented correctly.

 

It is very important to understand that we as people are all different, but when it comes to certain situations we are all alike. As people we hate when someone is constantly trying to pitch us to buy something. Especially if it’s something we are not really interested in.

 

We hate seeing advertisements everyday trying to sell us some type of product from their companies. After a while we get use to it and automatically learn to block those advertisements out. Although we do this. We still like to buy stuff that’s going to benefit us in some way.

 

We All Love To Buy

We as people buy new stuff everyday on are own. We’ll walk inside of a store for one specific thing and then come out with a whole bunch of other things that we didn’t intend on buying at first. This has happen to me on numerous occasions.

 

The fact of the matter is we love to buy when we see things that are beneficial to us without someone shoving the offer right in our faces. When people walk into a store they usual see a person walk up to them, then ask them can they help them with something. Most of time people say no and continue looking around right?

 

It’s because we as people like to buy things we see on are own without people trying to just sale to us for their benefit. This is something you need to think about anytime you have an offer or product that you want to sell to people.

 

Selling With Pitching…

Learn how to sell without pitching people all the time. Give them some type of value first by giving them something that can benefit them. You can teach them something or educate them on your company. Help them by giving them knowledge or advice that they’re looking for.

 

Entertain them by giving them something visual that’s fun to look at like videos. You want to build up that trust with them that creates a good relationship. This is when people will start to be more willing to buy something from you when they feel they can trust you.

 

Think about it. Most of the time the only reason people don’t like buying a product or offer from someone is because they don’t think it will actually work for them. If they knew the product would %100 work for them or benefit them. Nine times out of ten they would be ready to buy it as long as they have the money.

 

This is why it’s so important to focus on building that trust before just trying to sell something. If you focus mainly on building trust with your potential customers they will be ready to buy what ever you have to offer in the long run.

 

So remember what I said, learn to sell your offer without actually selling and you’ll see a dramatic increase in your sales.
